These terms are a contract between you and SIA STUDIO F5, Dzirnavu street 72-17, Riga, Latvia (“we”) for using the WalkGem app and website. By creating an account or using WalkGem you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

1. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 13 years old. Provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. One person, one account.

2. The service

WalkGem tracks walking activity and offers challenges, leagues, streaks, gems, routes and Places check-ins. Features may change, and we may add or remove them.

3. Health and safety

WalkGem is for general fitness and fun and is not medical advice. Consult a doctor before starting any exercise programme. Stay aware of traffic and your surroundings and never use the app in a way that puts you at risk. You walk at your own risk. Step and distance data come from your device and may be inaccurate.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• cheat or manipulate steps, location or rankings (spoofing, emulators, scripts, shaking devices);
• harass others or share unlawful, offensive or infringing content;
• reverse engineer, attack or overload the service;
• use someone else’s account or use WalkGem commercially without permission.

We may adjust or remove scores and suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of content you submit, such as your avatar and name. You give us a licence to host and display it to operate the service, and you confirm you have the right to share it.

6. Gems, streaks and rewards

Gems, points, streaks, freezes and league rankings are virtual features with no cash value and cannot be sold or transferred. We may correct balances in case of errors or abuse.

7. Premium subscription

Premium is optional and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Price and period are shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel in your store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, subject to your legal rights.

8. Permissions

Some features need location, motion and health permissions. See our Privacy policy. You can revoke permissions in your device settings, but some features will then stop working.

9. Intellectual property

WalkGem, including its design, code and branding, belongs to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable licence to use the app.

10. Termination

You can stop using WalkGem and delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or end your access for breaches of these terms or for legal reasons.

11. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for injury arising from your use while walking, and our total liability is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the last 12 months or [€50]. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Latvia. Courts of Latvia have jurisdiction, without removing mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
